On October 28, the Program on Liberation Technology at CDDRL, in partnership with the Association for Liberation Technology, the Center for Latin American Studies, and the Stanford Human Rights Center, hosted Yoani Sánchez, an internationally acclaimed Cuban activist who was made famous through her blog, Generation Y. Sánchez delivered an exciting talk to the Stanford community highlighting the significance technology and social media have in empowering the Cuban citizenry.

Sánchez speaks to the audience in her native tongue, Spanish, as Natalia Martinez, translates her words.
