by    /  April 22, 2016  / No comments

Mario Bellatin, “the strangest and most fascinating writer in Mexican literature” is the author of dozens of novellas, and has won all of Mexico’s major writing prizes. His autobiography, The Large Glass (translated from the Spanish by David Shook), is an experimental work that deconstructs the autobiographical genre in an examination and celebration of the stories we tell about ourselves.

In this interview with Sampsonia Way, Mario Bellatin discussed the artificial endeavor of writing an autobiography, his creative process, and the true owner of an artist’s work.
