Sampsonia Way looks back at the most read interviews of 2014. This year, we spoke to poets, journalists, filmmakers and novelists from India to Morocco, from France to Iran. We talked about revolution, the forgotten history of the United Farm Worker Movement in Texas, hereditary exile, writing as an act of defiance, and much more. We also witnessed the passing of the greater writer and political activist Amiri Baraka. We commemorated him by revisiting our 2011 interview between him and local Civil Rights activist Sala Udin.

Click on the images above to revisit our readers’ favorite interviews from 2014.
