Cave Canem at City of Asylum: Lyrae Van Clief-Stefanon

On June 16, Cave Canem, in partnership with City of Asylum, presented a free reading in the Alphabet City Tent where Lyrae Van Clief-Stefanon read along with Kevin Young and Evie Shockley.
Lyrae Van Clief-Stefanon is the author of Open Interval, a 2009 National Book Award finalist, and Black Swan, winner of the 2001 Cave Canem Poetry Prize, as well as Poems in Conversation and a Conversation, a chapbook she cowrote with Elizabeth Alexander. Her work has appeared in several anthologies and in journals including African American Review, Callaloo, Crab Orchard Review, Gulf Coast, and Shenandoah. She is currently at work on a third collection, The Coal Tar Colors, and teaches at Cornell University.

I am inspired a lot, from your sight and it’s a very happy thing to know about your world wide cite for freedom of expression.
There is enough freedom to express, but no one expresses even himself or herself, fully opened. Every body is safe guarding something or other with regard to themselves. All the talks on freedom reveals more slavery in human life not to others, but to oneself.
Any how this common forum is wonderful, so that we can at least show that we are going to show off ourselves.
