by Sampsonia Way / June 6, 2014 / No comments
Journalists continue to be killed in the Philippines for reporting on corruption, bribery, and abuses of power by government officials, mining companies and criminal syndicates. In 2009, 30 journalists were murdered in the Maguindanao Massacre. In the 40 months since Benigno Aquino III became president in 2010, 26 journalists have been killed.
