Tout va Bien! by Mana Neyestani

In 2006, Mana Neyestani was arrested for a cartoon that drew attention to the plight of the minority Azeri community in northwestern Iran. Published in the children’s section of a government-run newspaper, the cartoon incited riots among Azeris. Held in prison for three months, he fled the country while awaiting exile. In 2011, he arrived in France where he became the first guest writer of the City of Refuge in Paris.

Mana Neyestani’s published collections include The Life of Mr. Ka and the graphic novel Metamorphosis, which depicts his time in prison. Tout va Bien!, published in 2003, is a collection of 200 cartoons published for Iranian dissident sites. The following images are republished with permission of Ca et La publishers.
